Klevener, the mysterious wine of Alsace

Heiligenstein Klevener is a white wine produced in the Alsace vineyards around Heiligenstein from the Savagnin Rose grape variety.

It is grown on an area of only around 97 hectares, mainly in Heiligenstein but also in four neighbouring villages, making it a rare wine that is unofficially regarded as the eighth Alsatian grape variety.

Klevener has a complex and well-developed aromatic profile. As well as fruity aromas, one can also detect mineral notes, as well as hints of honey and spices.

This wine, which is far too little known, will be a perfect accompaniment throughout your Alsatian wine tastings.
