If you’re visiting our beautiful city of Colmar, treat yourself to a journey back in time and discover the Carrousel 1900, situated on Place Rapp in the south-eastern part of the Champ de Mars park.

With its hand-painted ceilings and twisted leather handrails, the Carrousel 1900 is the perfect setting for a magical family experience. All the paintings around the carousel pay homage to the city of Colmar, featuring in particular the Rue des Marchands, the fountain on Place Rapp, the Unterlinden Museum and Little Venice.

Run by the Dehondt family, it is one of the few carousels to shelter its visitors from the elements in all weathers, summer and winter alike, thanks to its unique circular gallery.

The price for the Carousel is €5 for 5 rides, €8 for 10 rides and €10 for 15 rides.

It is open every day from 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm except on Tuesdays, and seven days a week during school holidays and the Christmas market period.

If you’re visiting with family or friends, some can enjoy a spin on the carousel whilst those with a sweet tooth can savour sweet or savoury specialities (crêpes, waffles, ice cream, sweets, drinks, etc.) on the shaded terrace of Les Délices du Carrousel, a venue with many years of expertise.

These treats can be enjoyed from Wednesday to Monday from 11.00 to 19.00 (also closed on Tuesdays) and seven days a week during school holidays and the Christmas market season.
